Who is a Leader

Is a leader born or made . Made , I am sure although upbringing and looks do have a say.

what qualities should a leader have ?.

looks , accent , money , power , ....?

None

More of humility , caring , sharing , leading from front , team spirit , motivating and most important setting an example for others.

They earn respect and do not have to intimidate others to get things done.They are flexible in action but not in integrity.They do not ask others to do something which he wouldnt dare do.He is humble to the core.He treats everybody from the lowest to the top most rung on equal terms.He knows how to delegate work and get the best from people.He lets his team have a say on all the decisions affecting the whole team.He is first to accept his mistakes while not being harsh on unintentional mistakes.He is not scared to try for fear of failing .He is decisive and a tower of confidence for his team to lean on.He is a motivator.He also takes the bull by its horn if need be.

These I feel makes a leader ...so a leader is made not born.

TYPES OF INVESTMENT RISK
In the analysis of investment risk, we would note two distinct types of risk:
Market Risk
"Market Risk" derives from market-wide factors - factors which, thus, affect all businesses or, indeed, the economy as a whole.
Specific Risk
"Specific Risk" derives from factors which are specific to:
an individual company
companies within a particular industrial sector
companies in a particular country or geographicl region
"Specific Risk" is, therefore, ADDITIONAL to "Market Risk".

Calculating the RATE OF RETURN :
R = (p1 - p0)/ p0
where
R = the rate of return
P0 = the beginning price
P1 = the ending price

lRisk, return, and diversification.
The fundamental principle.
lCombining securities in a portfolio.
lResults in a lower level of risk.
lThan a simple average of the risks of each.

The Investment Process

20/80 Principle

80/20 principle

What is the 20/80 principle?.It means nothing but that 80 % of benefits is derived from 20 % of the inputs generating that benefit.It is true in my experience. The 20 and 80 numbers may be just numbers and do not exactly mean the measurement. It is always seen that a small percentage of employees generate maximum income , a small number of customers bring in the maximum revenue and finally a small number of activities you do daily are the most important.This is one area where an outstanding CEO will concentrate.A CEO who is sitting in office from 7 am to 11 pm doing all activities of his company and involving in all the activities is not an outstanding CEO.An outstanding CEO will concentrate on strategic decisions and policy making.He will leave the rest to his subordinates thereby delegating authority effectively.
This is effectively letting go and trusting your subordinates to do a work better than you.

An effective CEO sees his family and children more than his 12 hour a day on the job counterpart .He lives a happier and well balanced life.
